Eid Mubarak so soon?

Eid Mubarak literally means "Blessed Festival". It is a phrase of greetings used by muslims to congratulate each other on holidays eg eid al-fitr (Hari Raya AidilFitri). But Ramadhan is 6 months away.

The Mubarak i am talking about is MUBARAK (Majlis Bekas Wakil Rakyat) - council of ex people's representatives ie MPs and ADUNs. Basically, it is an organisation of retired politicians. Although they are no longer active in politics, they still give support and views to the government. Why am i talking about them?

Heard that they have requested for an appointment to meet PM Abdullah Badawi soon. Tengku Ahmad Rithaudeen, former Foreign Minister, is said to be leading this delegation. The agenda - resignation of PM Abdullah Badawi. Really?

We will know soon enough. Maybe the festival is early this year.

I don't think they will have the courage(I am being polite) to ask for PM's resignation. They were adulated, so they will want to continue being adulated if by any chance they will regain their seats.Do not forget, among the MUBARAK's are those who lost their seats from 4 newly lost states(exc Kelantan)

Majlis Bekas Wakil Rakyat. Hahaha! That's a misnomer. Kalau dah bekas, dia wakil siapa? If you're a bunch of leaders who gracefully retired takpe jugak but if you lost in the election and still want to be heard? Gimme a break!

Is there a criteria for membership? I'm sure winning a term is one, but what if you were beaten in the last one?

in other words, rose is saying that we have lost our confidence that anybody would dare to speak up and criticise... except for those who had nothing to lose...

we have accepted it that whoever speaks up is going to be punished...

this is what we called "umno democracy", which leads to what i call "pemimpin syok sendiri"...

yeah... all praise to abdullah, he's the man... let him be the man. we just need to work with the BR to save our country and future... at least we try...
